JURASSIC MEETS RETRO

Jurassic meets retro in this newly available traditional Dorset long cottage. The cottage was once a milking parlour, but later converted into a 'Dorset long cottage' with rooms leading from one to the other on one single level. The property has some lovely retro features such as an original glass brick window which gives the living area a very light and spacious feel. With comfortable, quality, retro big leather chairs, you'll find it perfect for a relaxing holiday. The cottage sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Another (currently empty) room is situated between the 2 bedrooms and is available for +2 if your own airbeds and bedlinen are brought along (ideal for children). Alternatively, bring your own travel cot and this makes the perfect room for a little one within easy reach. A large, enclosed garden is safe for children, pets or just for relaxing. Ample off-road parking too.

Living / Dining Room

Spacious, large and bright, this room has a comfortable sofa and two large leather retro chairs arranged around a coffee table. Freeview TV and DVD player with DVD and books. Good wifi signal. Dining area with table, wipable cloth, 4 chairs and placemats.

Main Bedroom

Comfy double bed with cushions with window extending across whole width of room. Wardrobe and dressing table with chair. Retro glass panels on internal wall making this room lovely and bright throughout the day.

'Spare' Room

The 'Spare' room is situated at the end of the hall way and before the twin bedroom, and can be used as an extension of the hallway or a separate room. Currently, there is just a writing desk and chair but additional guests are welcome (if requested at time of booking) to bring airbeds and own bedlinen. Probably most suited to children or, if bringing own travel cot, an infant. Door leads to twin bedroom.

Hall

The solid oak front door leads into the large, bright hallway giving access to living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, main bedroom and 'spare' room.

Kitchen

The kitchen is well equipped with gas job and electric integrated oven. Hatch leads through to dining area and this space can also be used as a breakfast bar with a chair. Plenty of cupboard space. Fridge/freezer and microwave and wide range of pots, pans and baking trays as well as crockery and glassware for all occasions.

Family Bathroom

Large bath with side shower attachments, big mirror, WC, basin, storage cabinets and airing cupboard. It is situated off the hallway just before the main bedroom.

The Garden

The house is situated in a quiet part of the village and accessed via a gate and fully enclosed. Ample parking is available. There is a lawned area with seating and a table on the patio which extends along the edge of the cottage. Sunny south facing aspect.

Utility Room

Situated at the end of the house and can be accessed from inside the cottage or with its own outside access. Washing machine and dryer, ironing board and iron and storage cupboards.

Twin Room

The twin room is situated just off the 'Spare Room' and is very spacious and bright. The room has two single beds, a wall to wall wardrobe with integrated dressing table and chair and a tall, free-standing mirror and chest of drawers. A door leads to the ensuite shower / bathroom and another door leads to the utility room.

Ensuite Shower / Bathroom

As you enter the ensuite, there is a large walk-in-shower and mirror. To the right is another door leading to the bathroom with bath, shower over bath, mirror WC and basin.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking cost is required at the time of booking. If booking via the online booking system, payments can be made by debit or credit card for no additional charge. If you book within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday, the whole cost of the accommodation, is payable immediately. The full booking balance must be paid 56 days (eight weeks) prior to your arrival. Balance payments can be paid by debit or credit card at you additional charge or by bank transfer. The cottage will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival. Please vacate by 10 am at the latest on the day of departure. Guests are responsible for leaving the accommodation clean and in good order on departure.
